To Link Activities to Components

  1. From the ConstructSim menu, select Schedule > Autolink. The 4D Autolinking dialog opens.
  2. Click New.

    The Matching Rule Setup dialog opens and is used to link the components to the schedule.

  3. In the Rule Name field, give the rule a name. Set Rule Match to Window 1 substring of Window 2.
  4. In the Window 1 section, set Name to Components and Type to Organizer. In the Attributes/Fields box, select Name and click Add.
  5. In the Window 2 section, set Name to Schedule and Type to ProjectTask. In the Attributes/Fields box, select Activity Description and click Add.
  6. Click OK.
  7. In the 4D Autolinking dialog, click Run.

    In the Schedule dialog, icons that show a fold on the bottom right corner designate the tasks that are linked to the schedule.
